About Tracy
Tracy Coleman is currently working as the primary medical liaison for youth properties of Major League Soccer. Tracy oversees the staffing of medical personnel, logistics/inventory, risk management, and acts as the on-site medical supervisor for all MLS NEXT marquise events (Generation Adidas Cup, MLS NEXT FLEX, MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs & Showcase, and MLS NEXT FEST).
Tracy started his professional career with a graduate assistant position at FC Dallas (MLS). He took over as the Head Athletic Trainer for the FC Dallas development academy in August of 2014. During his time with the development academy, Tracy was lucky enough to work with teams that went on to win 4 development academy national championships.
In 2016, Tracy was promoted to serve as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for FC Dallas, where he had the opportunity to be a part of the 2016 team that won both the U.S. Open cup and MLS Supporters’ Shield. Over the next few years, he worked to strengthen his rehab background, obtaining NASM Certifications in Corrective Exercise (CES) and Performance Enhancement (PES). In January of 2019, Tracy was named the Head Athletic Trainer & Rehab Coordinator for the first team at FC Dallas, a role which he held for two seasons.
In 2021, Tracy transitioned from FC Dallas to working as a Manager of medical operations and administration for Major League Soccer. He spent the next two seasons working as the primary liaison between a number of MLS club medical staffs and the MLS medical department.
Tracy graduated with a BS in athletic training from Merrimack College in 2012 and a MS in Health & Human Performance from Northwestern State University in 2014. He lives in Mount Pleasant, TX with his wife Theresa and two dogs, Shiner and Boh.
